This is a post about two approaches to the same problem, and how those approaches highlight the biggest difference between conservative media outlets and “mainstream” news organizations.
This morning, a 24 year old man opened fire in a sold-out Aurora, Colorado midnight screening of the highly anticipated Batman movie. So far, he is responsible for 12 deaths, dozens of injuries and hundreds of grieving friends and family.
But there is no such thing as a nonpartisan tragedy nowadays, and commentators were quick to assess the political ramifications of the horrific shooting.

Right-wing bloggers could be heard screeching from their playpen in the kiddie section of the internet last week after The Daily Caller revealed that the writers on HBO’s new show The Newsroom have a tendency to read news articles while dramatizing news events.
